AX3-21 Flange Facing Machine
The purpose of the AX321 flange facing machine is designed to machine full faced, raised face and grooved flanges from 75mm to 533 mm (3in to 21in) in diameter, at any location having a minimum pneumatic air supply 1.6 m3/m, 6 bar (60 cfm,87 psi).
The machine can achieve a variety of surface finishes from 6.3μm RA to 1.6μm RA when turning and 1.6μm RA to 0.8μm RA when polishing. The machine can also produce a 'gramophone' finish, 'O' ring grooves, and 'V' grooves, and alternatively lens ring facings.
The machine consists of five main assemblies:
1. Base assembly (two types)
a. Collet Mounting
b. Spigot Base Mounting
2. Drive Hub assembly
3. Gearbox
4. Toolpost arm assembly
5. Drive Motor unit
