Machining Procedure:

1. Replace Standard Saddle:
   • Remove the standard saddle and install the hand-operated V-section saddle.
2. Initial Groove Cutting:
   • Use the standard tool holder and a vertical-sided grooving tool for the initial cut.
   • Roughly shape the groove sides into a V using a left/right-handed plunge tool.
3. Install V Groove Toolpost:
   • Remove the V-section saddle and attach the V groove toolpost.
   • Secure in place using thumbscrews and grubscrews.
4. Adjust Tooling:
   • Set precise groove depth using an Allen key adjustment on the V groove toolpost.
5. Final Finishing:
   • Finish the groove with a thumbscrew adjustment, ensuring clean, precision-cut grooves.
