Hub Profile Kits AXL012

Instructions for Setting the Toolpost Angle:

1. Determine the Required Angle:
   • The toolpost on the Hub Profile unit can swivel and be locked at three predetermined angles: 15˚, 20˚, and 23˚.
   • Slacken (approximately ½ turn) the two locking grubscrews on each side of the toolpost.
2. Adjust the Toolpost Angle:
   • Unscrew the swivel locking stud at the rear of the toolpost until the toolpost can swivel.
   • Adjust to the required angle and use the appropriate angle checking block against the toolpost backplate to verify the angle.
   • Tighten the swivel locking stud. The stud will locate in a pre-machined hole if the angle is set correctly.

Fitting the Hub Profile Unit:

1. Remove the Standard Toolpost Saddle:
   • Unscrew and remove the three M10 screws securing the standard toolpost saddle unit to the drive ring.
   • Lift out the unit and replace it with the Hub Profile unit.
   • Fit the three screws and secure the unit in position.
2. Fit the Cutting Tool:
   • Slacken the center screw on the tool clamp until the tool can be inserted between the clamp bracket and the toolpost body.
   • Position the tool in the desired position and secure it by tightening the locking screw.

The Hub Profile unit is now correctly fitted to the drive ring. Refer to the technical manual for setting up the machine on the hub and operation procedures.
