Machining Procedure:

1. Replace Standard Saddle:

2. Initial Groove Cutting:
   • Use the standard tool holder with a vertical-sided grooving tool for rough shaping.
   • Apply a left/right-handed plunge tool to refine the groove’s sides into a V shape.
3. Install V Groove Toolpost:
   • Remove the V-section saddle and install the V groove toolpost, securing it with thumbscrews.
4. Adjust Tooling:
   • Fine-tune the toolpost alignment using an Allen key adjustment.
5. Final Finishing:
   • Lower the tool using the adjustment thumbscrew, ensuring a clean and precise V groove.
