Introducing the V Groove Measuring Kits for the AX024, designed for precise measurement of 'V' grooves after machining. This kit is essential for ensuring that machined grooves meet exacting standards and specifications.
Key Features:
- Precision Measurement: Allows for accurate measurement of 'V' grooves to ensure compliance with technical specifications.
- Easy to Use: Simple assembly and measurement process, facilitating quick and efficient use.
- Versatile Compatibility: Specifically designed for use with the AX024 machine, enhancing its functionality.
Measurement Procedure:
- Remove the ‘V’ Groove Saddle Assembly: Begin by removing the saddle assembly used for 'V' groove machining.
- Fit Datum Balls: Use an Allen key to attach a pair of suitable datum balls to each trammel block.
- Assemble Trammel Blocks: Slide the trammel blocks onto the measuring bar, ensuring they can slide freely for initial setup.
- Position Measuring Assembly:
- Place the measuring assembly onto the flange face.
- Lock one trammel block onto the shaft using the locking screw.
- Position the datum balls against the outer face of the 'V' groove at its widest point and lock the remaining block in place.
- Measure Distance (X): Use a calibrated micrometer or vernier to measure the distance to the outside of the balls. Repeat this step until a consistent reading is achieved. Perform the same procedure for the inner face of the groove.
- Check Groove Depth (Z): Measure the depth of the groove using a depth micrometer.
- Refer to Standards: Use the obtained measurements to refer to the technical specifications standards tables (API, ANSI, etc.) to ensure compliance.
Included Components:
- Trammel blocks
- Measuring bar
- Datum balls
- Locking screws
- Calibration tools (micrometer or vernier, depth micrometer)
